We have heard about so many instances of unnecessary surgeries performed on patients that we have lost count. Therefore, it is extremely important that patients increase their knowledge and consult more than one doctor to make sure that they are on the right track. This is in no way something against their current doctor; however, to prevent oneself from going into the wrong direction or being the victim of a doctor’s poor judgment, second opinions are necessary.
